Seed Germination

Germination means to ready a seed for sprout. This process increases the water level in the seeds and helps to start sprouting or germination. In this process, the seeds are first rinsed with clean water to remove dust and dirt and then soak in water for a few days. The time period which could be 10 minutes to 20 hours, depends on the seed type and size.

If you are sprouting at home, you have to soak your decided seeds into water and leave them at room temperature in a clean vessel. There are different types of vessels used to germinate at home. Use a vessel that allows water to drain out slowly because excessive water can rot the seed. The seeds start sprouting after some time depending on the seed type.

Rinse out them with water twice a day. To keep them moisturized. Just in two to three days, you will get sprouts of two to three inches long. After getting your desired side, refrigerate them otherwise leaves will appear. and they become inedible.

70 percent of these mung beans come from Japan and China; only 30% of mung seeds for sprouts are produced in Oklahoma.

Red Clover Sprouts

Red clover sprouts have mild currency flavor but they lose their form when cooked, that is why they are mostly used raw in salads and sandwiches. Red clover sprouts almost have the same appearance and taste as alfalfa sprouts. Clover sprouts have light green tops with white stalks.
